6th Annual Dessert Social
Listen to the entire Dessert Social program here.
Carol Kent, popular international speaker and former radio show co-host featured on Focus on the Family, will be the guest speaker. Carol and her husband, Gene, have one son, Jason. He is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy with an impeccable military record. Jason shot and killed his wife’s ex-husband. Jason, long recognized for his exemplary character, now walks a path no one could have predicted—and his family lives in the aftermath of a devastation most cannot imagine.
Carol candidly tells the story of those first horrible days after the murder and how the Lord is leading them through this terrible ordeal in a book, “When I Lay My Isaac Down”. At the Dessert Social you will have the opportunity to hear Carol share about their faith walk and how important ministries like the Jail Chaplains are to be working inside jails and prisons, offering the hope only available through Jesus.
Pizza Ranch Fundraiser
Monday night, February 27th was a great time to come together as Pizza Ranch - Fargo celebrated 30 years in business. Jail Chaplains celebrated 33 years serving second chances in Jesus Christ. Pizza Ranch’s mission statement is “to glorify God by positively impacting the world we live in”. Jail Chaplains have a similar mission of “restoring lives to the community with the love and compassion of Jesus Christ”.
This teaming brought Jail Chaplains a donation of $475 (including tips) from Pizza Ranch!
Special thanks to Dean Larson, manager of Pizza Ranch - Fargo who was just named National Manager of the Year and the fabulous staff that serves at this restaurant. We are already looking forward to next year!
