Participants in this group will learn to use scripture to build faith and biblical coping methods for facing fear and anxiety. Group members being controlled or held back by anxiety, fear and worry will be pointed to Jesus for comfort and increased freedom.
Participants in this group will focus on growing spiritually as they work together to confront the deception and overcome the temptation of sexual sin. This behavior most often occurs in secret, so it is easy for people who struggle in this area to hide and have difficulty finding help. This is not an easy journey and some experience detours and breakdowns along the way. This is why Jesus has called us to be a caring community who help one another. This group will be a safe place for participants to share without fear of embarrassment.
This group will encourage participants to focus on Christ rather than the behavior of their loved one. Participants will learn there is hope in the midst of the pain and suffering as they watch the consequences of a loved one’s unhealthy choices. Group members will go to the Bible for direction on how to take care of themselves by keeping their eyes on Jesus.
Participants in this group will strengthen their relationship with our heavenly father by applying His names to their personal life. For those who grew up in a home with an absent or abusive heavenly father it is easy to have a distorted view of God. Participating in this group will provide a clearer picture of God as your heavenly father and how He loves and provides for you.
This group will deal with many types of loss including the loss of employment, loss of relationship, loss of freedom, through incarceration or the loss of a loved one. Participants will identify the losses they have suffered in life and begin to understand the impact these have on the the way they live. As the group members share and search the Bible together, they will discover different options to deal with loss and dissapointment in a more constructive way.
